Summer Heaven

Soon  the summer will come to an end!
I thought it would be nice to share with you two of my favorite beaches.
It is Milopotamos and Agioi Saranta both located in Pelion (Greece)!
It is a wonderful meeting of the blue of the Agean Sea  with the green of the trees!

At Milopotamos Beach After five o clock in the afternoon
the sun is been hidden by the rocks,

also the beach is divided into separeate ones,
with an opening on the rock!

        ***

Agioi Saranta a heavenly scenery !

Every time I look at pictures from Milopotamo or Agioi Saranta it
reminds me of why summer is my favourite season!

Stuffed Zucchini flowers with feta cheese

Stuffed zucchini flowers with feta cheese are one of my favourite appetizers !
My aunt gave me this recipe and usually
I prepare double dose and put half in the freezer for another time

                                         Ingredients:

Vegetable oil, to deep fry
250g Greek feta cheese
10 - 15  zucchini flowers
2 tsp fresh or dried spearmint
1 small egg

For the batter

1 cup plain flour
2/3 cup beer

Fill a saucepan half full with oil and place over a medium heat until hot enough to deep fry.
Combine the feta, the egg, the spearmint and the pepper in  a small bowl.
Fill the zucchini flowers with the mixture and twist the flowers closed.
Place the flour and the beer in a bowl and  whisk to make a batter.
Coat the zucchini flowers with the batter, then carefully place in the hot oil.

Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Drain onto a plate lined with kitchen paper.
They can be served with yogurt sauce.

Bon appetite

Almost every month I clean my pantry!
But after a week or more and as much as I try to keep it neat,
it looks like never been cleaned before!
But this time things are better!
I found a rotating serving tray (I bought it from IKEA 4 years ago)
hidden in the basementand I decided to use it.
With the rotating serving tray and some jars  look what happened...

My pantry before

and after

The jars are also from Ikea.
I want now to print some cute labels for them!

It's been two weeks now since the last cleaning and the pantry still looks neat (yeahhh!)

Stay organized with your cables

They hide behind  TV furniture tangled! They can destroy a good looking picture!
Cables are ugly and very annoying especially when they are stacked in corners like a ball. I found this clever idea from  Jenny   . A way to stay organized: Use colored post-it, write the names of devices with a pen, wrap around the wire and tape the edges. So the next time you want  to remove  a divice from the plug you don't have to  guess!

Welcome to my kitchen

The kitchen is the room that brings the family closer.
It is a place where I create  delicious recipes.
It is  the first place I relax  in the morning for a coffee
and to prepare breakfast for  my kids .
It is the kingdom of every woman !
I would like  to invite  you for a tour into my kitchen .

On the left is the ceramic hob. The tiles on the wall is stainless steel.
So easy to clean !

A closer look

We opted for one large sink instead for a double one!
The counter top is corian.

To the right of the sink,  this little area is where I prepare the cakes
and where the coffe is made every morning !
In the cabinets underneath I stores  household appliances.

The bar stools are from IKEA.

I like this clock! It was a wedding gift!

I bought these frames from a trip to the USA last year.

I hope you enjoy the  tour!

Charms for good luck

My grandmother always told me to wear a blue bead or an evil eye charm
to protect me from the evil eye and for good luck!
I took her advice and I always wear  a blue bead or an evil eye  charm.
So these are my lucky charms.

This necklace I wear it almost every day!

This gold bracelet belongs to my little girl!

This bracelet I made it my self
(the black beads are onyx and the blue turquoise)

and also  this bracelet I made it!

this pink bracelet I bought it last year from Instabul!
Very girly.

These are the bracelets I am wearing right now!
The brown with the silver beads and the murano glass
is a gift, from a very good friend for my Name Day!
The black one is made from fabric and two plastic beads!
I bougt it from Meteora, at a monastery.
Is hand crafted by nuns!

Do you have any charms to protect you from the evil eye?
